폭력목격경험 및 폭력허용도가 아내구타에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Effects of Violence Experience and Attitudes on Wife Battering

본 연구는 제주도 노인부부의 아내구타 실태와 원인을 알아보기 위하여 조사를 실시하였다. 이를 위해 제주도 4개 지역의 114명의 60세 이상 남성노인을 대상으로 조사가 수행되었다. 아내구타의 원인으로 성장과정에서의 폭력목격경험 및 폭력에 대한 허용적 태도를 선정하였으며, 이들 각 변인이 지난 1년 동안 아내구타 및 평생 동안 아내구타에 미치는 영향력을 규명하고자 하였다. 빈도 분석 및 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 지난 1년 동안 아내구타는 21.1%인 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 평생 동안 아내구타의 경우는 58.8%인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 사회인구학적 변인을 통제한 가운데 폭력목격경험과 폭력허용도가 아내구타에 미치는 영향을 분석한 폭력허용도가 아내구타에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 이러한 연구결과를 기초로 본 연구는 폭력허용도를 변화시키기 위한 효과적인 프로그램의 개발 및 이를 위한 지역중심 서비스 제공이 필요함을 제시하였다.

This study has been conducted in order to examine the realities of wife battering which occurs in Jeju island and to review the effects of violence experience in childhood and attitudes on wife battering. Subject of the study was 114 male older than 60 and the data was collected from 4 area in Jeju island. For the data analysis, frequency analisis and logistic analysis were applied. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, wife battering rate on Jeju island in old couples turned out 21.1 % during last year and 58.8% since marriage. Second, wife battering appeared to be affected by attitude on wife battering. Such results imply that attitude on wife battering is not only the influencial factors of wife battering, but also the aspect that need to be watched with interest in order to prevent wife battering in Jeju island. Finally, this study calls for practical program and approach which will change the effect of attitude on wife battering as the intervention.
