가정폭력 치료프로그램 이수자의 재폭력이 피해자의 자살생각에 미치는 영향 분석

A study of the effects that the relapse of violence by participants of the domestic violence therapy program have on the victims’suicide inclination - with a focus on the mediation effects of stress and social activity

본 연구는 가정폭력 치료프로그램 이수자의 재폭력이 피해여성의 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 스트레스와 사회활동의 매개효과를 검증하여 사회복지적 개입방안을 찾고자 한다. 조사대상은 가정폭력 치료프로그램을 이수한 가해자와 결혼생활을 유지하고 있는 배우자 294명이며, 매개효과 검증을 위해 구조방정식 모형을 이용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정폭력 치료프로그램 이수 후에도 배우자에게 폭력을 행사하는 경우는 26.2%로 나타났다. 둘째, 가정폭력 치료프로그램 이수자의 재폭력이 피해여성의 자살생각에 미치는 영향에 있어서 스트레스와 사회활동은 완전매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 가정폭력 치료프로그램 보완 중심의 실천적 제언과 법적 제도적 보완 중심의 정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects that the relapse of violence by participants of the domestic violence therapy program have on the suicide inclination of its female victims, and to seek ways to address the problem through social welfare interventions by verifying the mediation effects of stress and social activities. This research was conducted on 294 female participants, who are maintaining their marriage life with the perpetrators of domestic violence who have completed the domestic violence therapy program. The results of the study, which was based on the structural equation modeling, are as follows. First, the study has found that a total of 26.2% of those who completed the domestic violence therapy program have relapsed into acts of violence on their spouses. Second, it has been revealed that, as for the influence of the relapse of violence by the husbands who participated in the domestic violence therapy program on their spouses’ suicide inclination, stress and social activities have a complete mediation effect. Based on these results, the paper proposes a practical approach designed to improve the domestic violence therapy program, as well as a policy approach aimed at improving relevant laws and systems.
