지역사회복지관 이용 신체장애노인의 일상생활수행능력이 스트레스에 미치는 영향과 사회적 역할 참여의 매개효과 검증

The study for relationship between activities of daily living and stress for the physically disabled elderly using community welfare center, and the medication effect of participating social role

본 연구는 신체장애노인의 일상생활수행능력과 사회적 역할참여가 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 지역사회복지관을 이용하는 55세 이상 신체장애노인 196명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 조사대상자에 대한 빈도분석과 기술통계분석을 위해 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 사용하였고, 각 변수의 관계구조를 검증하기 위해 AMOS 7.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상자의 일반적 특성을 살펴본 결과, 지역사회복지관을 이용하는 신체장애노인들이 경제적으로 열악하고, 혼자 거주하기 어려운 상황에 놓여 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조사대상자의 장애관련 특성을 살펴보면, 대부분의 신체장애노인이 노년기와 중장년기에 후천적인 장애를 경험함으로써 신체적 변화와 더불어 사회심리적 변화를 심각하게 경험했음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 변수의 경로계수를 살펴본 결과, 일상생활수행능력과 스트레스간의 경로는 유의미하지 않게 나타난 반면, 일상생활수행능력과 사회적 역할 참여와 스트레스 간의 경로는 유의미하게 나타났다. 따라서 사회적 역할참여는 매개효과가 있는 것으로 증명되었다. χ2 difference and sobel test.를 이용하여 매개모델을 검증한 결과 사회적 역할참여는 완전매개모형으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 신체장애노인의 스트레스 감소를 위해 사회적 역할 참여를 유도할 수 있는 다양한 지역사회 중심서비스 개발이 필요하다는 사회복지적 함의를 제언하였다.

The goal of this research is to investigate the effect of social participation and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) on stress for physically disabled elderly. 196 elderly who were 55 years or older and using community welfare center were subjects of the study. The SPSS 12.0 was used for frequencies and the AMOS 7.0 was used for structural equation modeling. The results are as followed: first, the overall pattern shows that physically disabled elderly who use the community welfare center are economically challenged and were in a difficult situation to live by themselves. Second, the tendencies of disabilities show that most physically disabled elderly experienced the physical challenges in their old age and middle age thus experiencing severe psycho-social changes with their challenges. Third, the parameter between ADL and stress was not statistically significant. The parameter between ADL and social role and that of between social role and stress(<.01) are statistically significant(<.05). As a result, the mediation effect of social role between ADL and stress was proved. To test the mediation model of social role using χ2 difference and sobel test. As a result, social role was proved as total mediating model. Implications are discussed.
