가정내 자녀학대경험이 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향 및 사회적 지지관계의 조절효과

The moderating effect of social supportive relationship in the contribution of adolescents experience of domestic child abuse to suicidal ideation

자살은 우리나라 청소년의 주요한 사망원인이 되고 있으며 특히 가정내 자녀학대 경험을 가진 청소년은 그렇지 않은 경우 보다 자살에 대해 더 위험한 상황에 직면하고 있을 가능성이 크다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 청소년들을 위한 보호 요인으로 작용할 수 있는 사회적 지지관계의 효과를 파악하여 학대경험이 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 조절할 수 있는 방안 즉, 사회적 관계에서 배제되어 있는 위기청소년에 대한 개입 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울과 수도권지역 중학교 3학년에서 고등학교 2학년에 이르는 학생 1140명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과 지난 1년간 부모로부터 언어적 또는 신체적 학대 경험을 한번 이상 가진 청소년은 전체의 58.3%에 이르는 것으로 조사되었으며 학대경험을 가진 청소년이 그러하니 않은 청소년 보다 자살생각을 더욱 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자살생각에 있어서 남학생의 경우 33.8%, 여학생의 경우 41.5%가 지난 1년간 자살생각에 대한 경험을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타나 여학생이 더욱 많은 자살생각을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 지지관계는 친구 지지관계보유가 92.9%, 교사 지지관계보유가 34.5% 그리고 사회복지사 및 상담가 지지관계보유는 5.2%로 나타났다. 사회적 지지관계의 조절효과를 검증한 결과 남학생의 경우 교사와의 지지관계가 많을수록 자살생각을 적게 하는 것으로 나타나 교사와의 사회적 지지관계의 조절효과가 검증되었으나 여학생의 경우 사회적지지관계의 조절효과는 나타나지 않았다. 이상과 같은 결과를 토대로 가정내 자녀학대를 경험한 청소년의 자살생각 경감을 위한 개입방안을 제언하였다.

Suicide is one of the most frequent causes of death among adolescents in our society. Especially, it would be possible that the adolescents who had experience of domestic child abuse are likely to be faced with suicide rather than the youth who hadn t such a experience. In this consequence, we tried to find out the moderating effect of social supportive relationship as a protecting factor for the abused adolescents who were confronted by suicidal ideation. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 1,140 middle and high school students not only in Seoul but metropolitan area as well. Through this survey, it was revealed that the number of youth who had experience of domestic abuse for the last one year reached to 58.3% out of total respondents. Also the percentage of respondents who had experience of suicide ideation for the last one year is 33.8% for male and 41.5% for female. The moderating effect of social supportive relationship was examined that only teacher s relationship worked in male s case. However, no social supportive relationship with suicidal ideation was screened as a interactive effect factor for female adolescents. Findings indicate that further emphasis should be placed on the implication of intervention preventing youth from suicidal ideation with enhancement of social supportive relationships.
