소아 V.C.U.G 검사 시 나타난 Reflux의 유형별 고찰

Review of the Type of Reflux during Pediatric Voiding Cystourethrography

The purpose of this paper is to review the type of grade reflux associated with VCUG. We preformed VCUG on 100 children under age 5(mean age:12months, range of age: 0 day to 5 years old). We observed for reflux during the procedure and graded the reflux according to the international grading system. Out of the 100 patients 20 patients showed reflux. Out of the 20 patients there were 15(75%) male and 5(25%)were female. The age distribution revealed 7(35%) children under 12 months of age, 5(25%) children over 12 and under 24 months of age, 3(15%) children over 24 and under 36 months of age, and 5(25%) children over 36 months of age. In the type of reflux, 7(35%) children showed unilateral, 13(65%) children showed bilateral. The distribution of the type of grade was 5(15%) children with grade Ⅰ, 10(31%) children with grade Ⅱ, 10(30%) children with grade Ⅲ, 8(24%) children with grade Ⅳ. Performing VCUG in children under age 5 will be able to enhance the detection of vesico-ureteral reflux and help thoroughly diagnose the degree of the reflux. Therefore, VCUG can be used as a basic examination for the children with urinary tract infection and it could be performed irrespective of the performance of the kidney ultrasonic waves and DMSA renal injection.
