中國內 高句麗山城의 發掘 現況과 主要 遺構·遺物의 檢討

Current Excavation State of Fortresses of Goguryeo Kingdom In China and the Performance

본고에서는 2005년부터 2016년까지 활발히 진행된 중국내 고구려산성의 발굴 현황과 주요 유구·유물을 정리해 보았다. 이 기간 동안 고구려 산성은 모두 15개소가 발굴조사되거나, 현재 진행 중에 있다. 이 중 발굴보고서나 間報 등을 통해 알려진 유적 10개소를 대상으로 하였다. 이들 고구려 산성의 발굴조사는 몇 가지 경향성이 간취된다. 먼저, 2004년 7월에 “고대 고구려 왕국의 수도와 무덤(Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom)”으로 세계유산에 등재되었다. 등재 이전에는 고구려 도성인 환인 오녀산성, 집안 국내성과 환도산성 등을 중심으로 발굴하였다. 하지만 최근에는 지방 거점성을 중심으로 중국 동북지방에서 광범위하게 이루어지고 있다. 예컨대, 환인 고검지산성, 봉성 봉황산성, 통화 자안산성, 등탑 연주성, 집안 패왕조산성, 도문 성자산산성, 개주 고려성산성, 훈춘 살기성 등이 대표적이다. 조사기관은 중앙의 사회과학원 고고연구소, 지방의 요녕성문물고고연구소나 길림성문물고 고연구소 그리고 해당 현·시급 박물관이나 문물국 등이 공동조사하는 형식을 띠고 있다. 고구려 산성의 발굴 초창기에는 중앙정부의 주도로 추진하였으나, 현재 지방정부 주도로 주체 가 달라지는 경향이 농후하다. 이는 과거 추진된 동북공정이 어느 정도 안착되는 분위기이기에 가능하지 않을까 한다. 또한 최근 발굴조사는 성벽, 문지, 치성, 성내 주거지와 건물지, 집수지, 수구 등의 시설물에 집중되고 있다. 그리고 조사 후 보수 정비가 연이어 진행된다는 점이 우리와 사뭇 다르다고 하겠다. 따라서 이와 같은 경향성은 고구려 산성에 대한 각종 보호방안이나 공정 등이 중앙이 나 지방 정부 단위에서 결정되고 연차적인 계획 하에 시굴조사와 발굴조사, 보수와 정비 등이 순차적으로 진행되기에 가능하다고 할 수 있다. 집안 국내성과 환도산성, 심양 석대자산성, 통화 자안산성 등이 그 예이다.

Excavation research has been actively done on the fortresses of Goguryeo Kingdom in China recently. Prior to the registration in World Heritage in 2004, the research has been widely done in northeast areas in China centering around key fortresses in local regions, unlike the excavation research led by capital city authority such as Wunu Fortress in Huanyin, Guknaeseong and Wandou Fortress in Jian. The representative examples are Gaojiandi Fortress in Huanyin, Fenghuang Fortress in Fengcheng, Zian Fortress in Tonghua, Yanzhou Fortress in Junfang, Bawangchao Fortress in Jian, Tumenshan Fortress in Tumen, and Gaolicheng Fortress in Gaizhou. These fortresses were investigated by joint research team of a province-level archeological research institute and a town and county-level. In the early stage of excavating fortresses of Goguryeo, central government has led the research, but currently it is notable that the authority to perform the research has been moved to local governments. It is assumed to be possible owing to the Northeast Project of China which has been promoted and has achieved somewhat stable status now. Recent excavation research done during 2005~2015 focused on fortress walls, fortress gate site, fortress with the convex-form of walls for defense(“Chiseong”), residential site in the fortress, building site, water reservoir, and water collection facility. Repair and maintenance work immediately followed by the investigation, which is quite different from out research procedure. This is possible because various protection plans and projects on the fortresses of Goguryeo are decided by central and local government level and then excavation research, and repair and maintenance works are conducted sequentially according to annual plan. The examples are Guknae Fortress and Wandou Fortress in Jian, Shi Tai Zi Fortress in Shenyang, and Zian Fortress in Tonghua.
