상부 위장관 조영검사에 따른 생활습관 및 대사증후군 인자와의 상관관계에 대한 고찰

The Relations between Findings of UGI Series and Habit of Life and Factors of Metabolic Syndrome

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to take a measure for primary prevention of gastric diseases, and to provide founded data for accurate upper gastrointestinal series by studying whether gastric diseases are related to the habit of life and factors of metabolic syndrome or not. Materials and methods : The study conducted a survey of 890 people, above the age of 20, who had a checkup in this center. According to the results of upper gastrointestinal series, it was compared to age, sex, eating habits, drinking, smoking, exercise, body mass index(BMI), abdominal obesity, waistline, blood pressure, blood sugar, triglyceride(TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-Chol). Results : In gastrograms, men were more abnormal than women(men:58.6%, women:44.3%), and olders were more abnormal than youngers. In the correlation with the habit of life, the group that drinking capacity was two bottles of soju indicated that 62.9% was abnormal, the group smoking now indicated that 60.1% was abnormal. Also, the group smoking over 20 years indicated that 71.5% was abnormal. There were meaningful differences, but eating and drinking habits, the amount of smoking, exercise were not. In the correlation with obesity, the group having abdominal obesity indicated that 60.5% was abnormal. In the correlation with factors of metabolic syndrome, the group having abnormal levels of waistline, blood pressure, blood sugar, TG indicated that each 56.6%, 63.3%, 62.0%, 59.0% was abnormal. However, HDL-Chol did not show meaningful differences as 48.4% abnormal. Conclusion : The cause of gastric diseases is related to the habit of life and factors of metabolic syndrome. Therefore, the results of the study would be useful data for accurate upper gastrointestinal series by providing primary prophylaxis of gastric diseases.
