The objeive of üs research is to compare the applications and possibilities of types of e-Governance and investigate the implications of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for le development of governance in four mor Asian states, Singapore, Japan, lndia and South Korea. There are three general conclusions lat can be drawn from an analysis of development of e-Govemance. First, the e-Govemance systems in those countries have advanced from being in the e-information services and e-interaction stages, to being in the e-integration stage. Second, the use of ICTs can increase the people s understanding of government services by providing information or administrative facilities. Third, e-Governance differs from state to state, depending on the economy, political system, and state of technology. The existence of diverse actors - andle complicated relationships thereof - also affect the characteristics of e-Governance.
