This article applies the Kantian theory of peace loward an analysis of an emergent patteπ 。f economic and cu rity αoperation in East Asia. Against the backdrop of important regional developments s as the recent 5UCSS of the six-party talks, this a rtide will examine the means by which we may implement the Kantian notion of a pacific federation and foster the moral foundations for a just and lasting peaæ in East Asia.
