Purpose : The shoulder joint occurs frequently chronic pain and physical disabilities because of a wide range of motion and the complex anatomical structures. Shoulder joint is made of many joints and it is composed of the humerus head and the scapula which is caused by the area of about two times. with this difference in order to reduce the structural failure which is made of three upper arm joints and ligaments and labral, a rotate cuff which at that outside becomes accomplished with muscles under the shoulder and 4 muscles of Subscapularis, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, Supraspinatus. It is involved in maintaining the stability and movement. In the case of a impingement syndrome patients with different kinds of tests are performed. Since the clinical diagnosis to check complement and cause analysis the simple X-ray inspection is conducted. rockwood method has been implemented to observe and measure acromion. For this reason, Rockwood method by examining changes in the patient’s position have experimented and the evaluation of the images was performed. its purpose is to improve the quality. Material and methods: Department of Radiology, five people staff who don’t have a shoulder disorder of anatomical position, true AP position, hand collected position, 90- degree arm position and gets by changing the position. each acquired image is evaluated by Department of Radiology, professor of Musculoskeletal system one people, one people in major radiology, two people in major orthopedic surgery, radio technologist two people experienced more than 5 years. Results : Image evaluation form is collected hand on your umbilicus and received the highest score of 18 points, True AP position was evaluated as the lowest score 6 points. Department of Radiology, a specialist anatomical position was evaluated as the best imaging, Collected in the umbilicus with hands positiom was evaluated as the best imaging by major orthopedic surgery and radio technologist. Conclusion : Through this research we could see the difference depending on the position on rockwood method. To collect in the umbilicus of the hand receiving the highest score was evaluated as an excellent image. When examing the rockwood method, radio-technologist are required understanding anthropotomy and accurate test methods. In the future we think the patient rather than simply the tests and will try to improve the quality of the image.
