초등학생의 발명 그래픽 기보법을 통한 작곡 가능성에 대한 탐색

Exploration of Feasibility for Elementary School Students’ Music Composition Activity Using Invented Graphical Notations

본 연구에서는 초등학교 음악교육에서 학생들의 발명 그래픽 기보법을 활용한 작곡 표현의 다양한 가능성을 탐색해 보고, 그 의미를 해석해 보고자 한다. 연구문제는 학생들도 자신만의 느낌이나 음악적 감각을 나름대로의 기보 형태로 표현 하여 기초적인 작곡활동을 할 수 있는가라는 질문이다. 연구 결과를 간략히 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들에게 음악을 직접 만들어 보는 표현활동을 하도록함으로써 기본적인 음악 창작활동을 할 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 학생의 수준에 따라 표현한 결과를 구분하고 평가해 봄으로써 개별 학생들의 음악성발달 수준을 확인하고 개별적 지도를 위한 기초자료를 확보할 수 있었다. 셋째, 자신만의 발명 기보법을 찾아보는 활동에서 음악 요소 및 개념과 관련한 학습이 이루어질 수 있었다. 결론적으로 누구나 음악적 목소리가 있다는 점을 전제하였고, 초등학생들은 자신만의 음악적 표현양식을 통해 심리적 상태를 표현할 수 있다는 점을알 수 있었다. 향후 음악교육에서는 학생들의 내면으로부터 나오는 감성을 자신만의 양식을 통해서 표현해 보도록 지도한다면 누구나 작곡을 할 수 있다는 자신감을가질 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

This study explores the various possibilities of using invented graphical notations for music composition by students in elementary school music education and to interpret their meaning. It asks the question of whether basic music composition activities for students can be carried out by students expressing their own feelings or musical thoughts using their own invented notations. The results of the study are summarized as follows. Firstly, it was possible to confirm the possibility of carrying out basic music creation activity by allowing students to create and express their own music. Secondly, it showed the possibility that students can acquire basic musical knowledge, and that their curiosity and interest in music and composition can be elevated through activities where they compose while humming or singing. Thirdly, the activity of inventing one’s own musical notation allowed students to study and learn about musical elements and concepts. In conclusion, it demonstrated that anyone can have a musical voice, and confirmed that the students can express their psychological state through their own musical representation methods. It suggests that in future music education, if studentsare guided to express their inner feelings through their own musical representation methods, that they would acquire the confidence of knowing that anyone can compose music.
