A Study on the Methodology of Bak-Suk s Poetry Education -Foucusing on a Pre-Reading Activity About the Poem: <The family of the village where the fox was born>-

백석 시의 특성인 수많은 ‘낯선 어휘’가 그에 대한 ‘선지식’이 부족한 고등학교 학습자에게는 시 이해로의 정상적 진입을 방해하는 요소임을 짚고, 그 해소 방법으로서 작품에 대한 적절한 ‘읽기 전 활동’을 논하는 것이 본고의 목적이다. 그 과정은 백석 의 대표적 시 <여우난곬族>을 매개로 이루어졌다. 백석 시에 대하여 실제 학습자가 감상의 난점으로 느끼는 바를 설문을 통해 확인하고, 설문한 자료를 바탕으로 하여 선지식’ 조성에 적합한 어휘 선정의 준거를 논하였다. 다수의 낯선 어휘로 인한 시 내용의 구체적 이해 불가라는 대부분 학습자의 반응에도 불구하고 시에 대한 흥미를 느낀 학습자군의 ‘알아챔’ 요소를 바탕으로, 모든 학습자들이 적합한 선지식을 형성할수 있는 활동의 방향을 논하였다. 작품 내의 수많은 낯선 어휘 중 시 해석에 유용한‘선지식’ 형성에 ‘적합한’ 어휘를, 그리고 ‘낯설게 하기’의 미학적 효과 또한 살릴 것을 지향하여 ‘소수의’ 어휘를 선정하고, 그 어휘를 활용하여 학습자를 백석 시 감상에 있어서 최적의 여건으로 준비시킬 수 있는 활동을 제안한 것이다. 이는 일반 학습자군도 알아챔 학습자군과 같은 선지식을 형성하도록 하여 시감상의 흥미와 관심을 가지고 스스로의 감상 능력을 작동시킬 수 있는 여건을 조성하기 위함이다.

The purpose of this article is confirm that many ‘unfamiliar vocabulary’ which is characteristic of Bak-Suk s poem is a factor that hinders the normal entry of poetry understanding into high school learners who lack the ‘knowledge of poetry’, and suggestion the proper ‘pre - reading activity’. The process is mediated by Bak-Suk s representative poetry, “The family of the village where the fox was born”. The questionnaire confirms what real learners perceive as the difficulty of appreciation about Bak-Suk s poem. Based on the questionnaire, a few criteria for vocabulary selection suitable for composition of the priori knowledge were discussed. Most learners responded that they can not understand the contents of poetry due to many unknown vocabularies. We discusses the direction of activities in which learners can form appropriate priori knowledge based on the learners motivation of learners who are interested in poetry. Among the many strange vocabularies in the works, we selected a few of vocabularies useful for the formation of ‘priori knowledge’ that can be useful for the interpretation of poetry and to bring out unfamiliar aesthetics. And we proposed the activity to prepare the learners as the optimal conditions for appreciation to Bak-Suk by utilizing the vocabulary. This is to create a condition for a general learner group to form the same a priori knowledge as a good learner group and to be able to operate their own appreciate ability with interest.
