Observing that ÀX £ÀY is a Wallman realcompacti¯- cation of X£Y if À(X£ÀY ) = ÀX£ÀY , we show that À(X£Y ) = ÀX£ÀY if and only if X£Y is z-embedded in ÀX£ÀY and ÀX£ÀY is a Wallman compacti¯cation of X £ Y .
