Application of “FINALE 2010” to Creative Activities in Music Class

The essence of music lies on creation. Creative activities are the foremost in all the activities in music education. It can be said that creative activities are the most aggressive and essential in that they can be achieved based on creative ideas. However, as music education provided at schools is inclined to singing and theory-based education, creative activities have been ignored. Due to lack of classroom environment for creative education or teachers who have professional abilities to lead it, most of the students do not have opportunities to have proper creative activities at school. Therefore, this study selected music softwares which are appropriate for levels of students and developed specific teaching and learning programs for creative activities in school music education. It is expected that the specific teaching and learning plans proposed in this study will be an opportunity for more effective education of creative activities in music and helpful to actual music teachers who have difficulty in use of music softwares.
