영아-교사 간의 상호작용에 관한 이론적 고찰

A Theoretical Study on Infant-Teacher Interaction

This study was conducted in order to examine the importance of infantteacher interaction and interaction types based on previous studies, and to suggest a direction for promoting desirable infant-teacher interaction. Positive and sensitive interaction between infants and their teacher was found to help infants’ all-round development, to promote peer relationships, and to improve the quality of education. Thus, for substantial desirable interaction, field teachers need to identify the most reasonable type of interaction for each infant based on the individual characteristics or context of the infant and to support his/her interaction abilities. For this, future research should focus on every type of casual and spontaneous interactions occurring in daily life at childcare centers observed through participant observation, and understand messages, culture and thoughts conveyed by the infants through the interactions.
