An Analysis of Types of Gayageum Byungchang Sori Sigimsae and Gayageum Playing

The study is designed to analysis of types of Gayageum Byungchang Sori Sigimsae and Gayageum Playing, in particular Kang Jungsook, in order to help teaching and learning Gayageum Byungchang. 10 types of Sori Sigimsae and Gayageum Playing of Kang Jungsook s Ssookdaemori are as follows. Among the 10 types of Sori Sigimsae, 5 types were mainly appeared (Type Ⓐ(29%), Type Ⓔ(21%), Type Ⓕ(16%), Type Ⓑ(13%), and Type Ⓒ(9%)), and they used mainly 2 notes between the ornament and the keynote. Among the 5 types of Gayageum Plying, Type ⓐ(37%) was appeared most frequently, and Type ⓑ(30%), Type ⓒ(17%), Type ⓓ(9%), Type ⓔ(7%) in that order.
