As mental-retarded students are not provided sufficient physical activities due to their disorder inmany fields, they showconsiderable retardation in their basic physical strength. This study selects folk game as an itemto improve their basic physical strength, aiming at identifying its influences on movement control ability of mental-retarded students. The folk game program used for this study was organized according to characteristics of the subject students based on what was obtained from analysis of curriculum involved in health, bibliography on folk game, suggestions fromother teachers and the author s experiences in teaching. For the purposes, this study presents the following questions, in the mental-retarded student before applying a folk game activity program and after applying, is there difference of balance, agility and flexibility? The results of the study showed improved in balance, agility and flexibility, So this study suggests that more effective folk game programs should be developed as it was proved that the folk game program developed for this study was effective in improvement of movement control ability.
