The purpose of this study is to present the basic data in the search for the direction of tea culture education by analyzing the consumption value and cultural awareness of tea for men and women. The purpose of this study is to promote the right understanding and consumption value of tea. We conducted a survey of men and women over 20 years old through Google (www.google.co.kr) for three weeks from March 17, 2016 to April 7, 2016, and a total of 232 participants were included in the final analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Version 19. The main results are as follows: First, the average value of the scores for the 13 items (from 1 to 5 points) was 3.59, and this was taken as the consumption value for tea. Mentally stable (4.08) was the highest and The price was reasonable (2.71) was the lowest. Second, in examination of the cultural awareness of tea (correct answer 1, wrong answer 0), the average score for the recognition of correct answers to health culture was 0.650, while the other scores were the culture of manners was 0.646, drinking culture 0.575, manufacturing culture 0.377, art culture 0.352, and production culture 0.342. Third, after analyzing the factors affecting the consumption value of the 13 questions about tea, we examined the relationship between cultural awareness and consumption value. It was found that those participants having a cultural awareness of health culture showed high values of both the wellbeing consumption value and functional consumption value.
