Along with an observation, a measurement is an important element in scientific inquiry. This study is focused to use as fundamental data for teaching and evaluation of measurement domain in elementary curricula, investigating measurement abilities and trends to length, weight and volume kept by the present elementary students. From this study, it suggests that the elementary students measure in length better than in weight and/or volume. Although valuable interrelationships are not established among above specific measurement domains, a meaningful interrelationship (0.05<) in volume domain is formed between constructed (A) and estimated measurements (B). In addition, length represents less error ranges than that of weight and volume in measurement ability. And, much large errors appear between estimated and real weight and volume values. The results are maybe derived as the present elementary students have not undergone and operated real objects, frequently. So, it is necessary that more operation learning chances through surrounding objects (eg. bricks, milk packs, beverage and yogurt bottles) to improve estimated measurement ability for length, weight and volume should frequently give to the students as quantitative observations.
