사이버대학교 재학생의 학습전략과 학교적응의 관계

The Learning Strategies of Cyber University Students and Its Relationship with School Adaptation

본 연구는 사이버대학교 재학생이 구사하는 학습전략의 특성을 이해하고, 그것이 학교적응과 어떤 관련성을 보이는지를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 온라인상에서 본 연구에 참여한 H사이버대학교 재학생 6,403명에게 학습동기 및 전략검사지(MSLQ)를 실시하여 학습전략을 조사했는데, 구체적인 하위요인은 시연, 정교화, 조직화, 비판적 사고, 초인지 자기조절, 시간 및 환경관리, 노력규제, 도움구하기, 비동시성 관리, 정보 해독의 10개 항목이었다. 분석 결과, H사이버대학교 재학생의 학습전략 활용지수는 성별 및 연령별로 차이가 있어서, 남학생들이 여학생들에 비해 비판적 사고, 도움 구하기, 비동시성 관리 전략 요인을 더 많이 활용하고 있으며, 연령이 증가 할수록 다양한 학습전략들을 더 효과적으로 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 연구에서는 학습전략 활용지수의 T점수가 40점 이하인 경우를 기준으로 ‘학습전략 취 약집단’을 선별하였는데, 전체 6,403명 중 8.6%인 552명이 취약집단에 해당되어, 지속적인 학업활동을 수행하기 위해서는 구체적이고 현실적인 도움이 필요한 상태인 것으로 파악되었다. 아울러, 학습전략과 학교적응의 관계를 알아보기 위해 학교생활 과 관련된 각종 지표들을 산출하여 자료를 분석한 결과, 학습전략이 취약할수록 학교생활에 대한 만족도가 낮고 학업 어려움 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 사이버대학교 재학생의 학습전략 향상을 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study attempted to explore the profile of learning strategies(LS) in cyber university students and its relationship with school adaptation. For this purpose Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire(MSLQ) that assesses learning strategies such as rehearsal, elaboration, organization, critical thinking, metacognitive self-regulation, time and study environment management, effort regulation, help seeking, on-off line environment management and information understanding were administered to 6,403 cyber university students. Consequently, LS profile differed according to gender and age. Male students utilize critical thinking, help seeking, on-off line environment management more than female students. And it shows elder students use various LS more efficiently. Also, students who are worker make use of LS critical thinking and help seeking well and others who are not worker use rehearsal, time and study environment, information understanding. Based on less than 40 T-score, MSLQ vulnerable students screened out and 8.6%(552) among the whole vulnerable students are in need of concrete and practical learning support. As a result of the relationship survey between MSLQ utilizing index and various school life indicators, the more LS getting vulnerable, the less satisfaction showed with school life. intent of temporary rest from study. intent to change major study as well as problem of learning increased. On the basis of these results, suggestions to promote LS for Cyber University students were proposed.
