시대적 변화에 따른 타로카드 디자인 재구성에 관한 연구

A Study on the Regeneration of Tarot Card Design by the time period

아시아에서 점(店)은 글자를 기반에 두어 상징적 의미와 뜻을 부여 했다면, 서양에서는 타로카드라는 상징적 요소에 기반한 회화적 디자인적 표현을 하여 미래를 예측하고, 현 상황을 인지하고, 또한 과거를 돌아 볼 수 있는 도구였다. 총 78매로 이루어진 타로카드는 전 세계적으로 다양하게 디자인 되어 있으며 서양의 문화와 철학, 그리고 예술성(1)을 두루 갖춘 타로카드는 당시 시대에 따라, 각 나라의 문화적 특성과 양식에 따라 꾸준히 재구성 하였다. 현 시대적 특성인 디지털화, 교통수단의 변화, 화폐의 형태 등이 반영 된 디자인이 부족하여 본 연구를 통하여 시대에 맞는 재구성을 제안 하고자 한다.

In early western history, there was the tarot card which was the tool of predicting the future by 78 all difference pictorial illustrations that contains several symbolic elements. Out of 78 pieces of total tarot cards have been designed in various ways around the world. Not only Tarot cards contains symbolic meaning to predict the future, it also contain current time of cultural philosophy, fashion style, social status and etc. throughout the research on history of tarot card, understanding the symbolic meanings by each card’s illustration, comparison between modern abstract card and classic as well as study of tarot card made by each countries could have better understanding of tarot card and may suggest to regenerate the design by current time period. c
