초등학생의 창의역량 영향요인 분석

Analysis of Variables Affecting Creative Competency of Elementary School Students

본 연구는 최근 창의인재 육성에 대한 중요성이 강조되고 있는 상황에서 「학교교육 실태 및 수준 분석 연구」의 2014년(4주기) 초등학교 6학년 데이터를 이용하여 초등학생의 창의역량에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 자료의 위계적 속성을 고려하여 학생-학교 2 수준의 위계적 선형모형(hierarchical linear model) 분석 방법을 이용하여 영향요인을 가정배경과 개인의 정의적 인지적 특성 등 학생 수준과 학교 소재지, 수업 관련 등 학교 수준으로 나누어 분석하였다. 가정배경 변인으로는 가족구조, 가정의 사회경제적 지위(SES), 가정의 문화자본 보유, 부모자녀 상호작용, 부모의 학업지원 등을 투입하였는데, 이 가운데 가족구조와 부모자녀 상호작용이 창의역량에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 가정의 사회경제적 지위와 문화자본 보유 등 물리적 환경과 부모의 학업지원은 유의한 영향을 보이지 않았다. 개인 특성 가운데는 이전 학업성취, 교과흥미도, 학습동기(내재적, 외재적), 자기통제감, 자아존중감, 운동시간, 독서태도 등이 정적 영향을 보였고, 성별, 사교육(교과목 수), 컴퓨터 사용시간 등은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편 학교 수준에서는 창의적 체험활동 중시, 학습자 중심 수업, 협력적 학습문화, 학교 평균 SES가 정적 영향을 미친 반면 학교의 학업지원에 대한 만족도는 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편 학교 소재지는 유의한 영향을 보이지 않았다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 초등학생의 창의역량 제고 방안에 대하여 논의하였다.

Taking note of recent trends in promoting students’ creative competency, the study was to examine the effects of relevant variables affecting creative competency of elementary school students. To this purpose, student-school level HLM(hierarchical linear model) was conducted using the fourth wave data of elementary school survey of Korean Longitudinal Study of Primary and Secondary Schools(KLSPSS). The results showed that family-related variables influencing creative competency were family structure and parent-child interactions. Student-related variables were pre-achievement, interest in academics, intrinsic and extrinsic study motivation, sense of control, self respect, time participating in sports, and attitude toward reading. School-related variables were creative activities in school, student-based teaching, cooperative study culture of school, students’ satisfaction with the school’s support for achievement, and school-average SES. While the results showed that the location of the school was not significant. Based on these results, the study presents suggestions for the future.
