도시의 음악경관에 관한 총체적 분석

A Study of Holistic Approach on the Urban Musicscape Focusing on the Musicscape Elements and Factors of Gwangju Metropolitan City

도시의 음악경관 분석은 도시를 총체적으로 이해하는 하나의 방법론이 될 수 있다. 이 연구는 광주광역시를 사례로 도시의 음악경관에 대한 총체적 분석을 시도하였다. 이를 위해 우선 음악지리와 사운드스케이프 등 기존의 관련 연구를 바탕으로 음악경관 개념을 정립하였다. 다음으로 분석틀로서 음악경관 분석의 3대 요소와 6대속성을 도출하였다. 이를 통해 광주 음악경관의 역사적 변천과정을 경관 요소와 속성을 중심으로 다섯 단계의 시기별로 살펴보고, 마지막으로 광주 음악경관의 속성별 특성을 종합하였다. 도시음악경관 분석은 도시정체성과 장소성 분석을 통한 도시브랜딩과 장소마케팅 전략 수립에 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The urban musicscape analysis is one methodology of holistic understanding of city. This study tries a holistic approach on the urban musicscape from case study of Gwangju metropolitan city. First of all, the concept of musicscape is defined from existing related studies about music geography and soundscape. Secondly, the three elements and the six factors of musicscape are drawn as an analysis framework. Following this framework, five historical transition processes of Gwangju musicscape examined, focused on the landscape elements and factors. Lastly, the characteristics of Gwangju musicscape are synthesized. The studies of urban musicscape will be used for city branding and place marketing strategies from research on the city identity and placeness.
