Establishing Detection Range of Dangerous Situation for Developing Models of Internet-of-Things Based Crime Prevention

사물인터넷 기반 범죄 예방 서비스 구현을 위하여 실세계의 상황 인지 범위를 설정하는 것은 이전과 다를 수 있다. 범죄 예방 서비스를 위한 위험상황감지 범위를 공간 요소로만 국한하였을 경우, 가변적인 상황에 대처하기 어려울 수 있다. 또한, 도시 공간에서 생활하는 인적 요소에만 초점을 맞추는 것도 불완전할 수 있다. 실제 세계의 여러 상황들은 시간 요소, 공간 요소와 인적요소의 상호작용에 의하여 나타나기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 사물인터넷을 활용하는 범죄 예방 서비스를 실현하기 위하여 위험 상황 감지 범위를 도시 공간의 공간 위험 요소와 도시 공간 내 인적요소까지 포함할 것을 제안한다. 범죄 발생은 대부분 범죄와 관련한 시간과 공간의 환경 요소와 피해자의 상태와 범죄자의 활동이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생하기 때문이다. 이에 효과적인 위험 상황 감지를 위하여 시간과 공간의 시공간 환경 요소와 주민의 생활과 활동 그리고 잠재적 범죄자의 출입과 활동을 사물인터넷을 활용하는 위험상황 감지 범위로 설정할 필요성을 제기하고, 기존 발생 사건을 분석하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

When the Internet of Things is used to implement services of crime prevention based on the Internet of Things, establishing ranges of real-world context cognition and danger perception may be different from what it had been. If the scope of detecting dangerous situations to prevent crimes is limited to spatial factors, it may be difficult to cope with variable situations. It may also be insufficient to focus on human who live in urban spaces, for a large number of abnormal situations in the real world are caused by interactions of temporal, spatial, and human factors. We in this study suggest that the scope of detecting dangerous situations should include spatial risk factors and human factors within urban space in order to realize crime prevention services using the Internet of Things. Considering range of detection in the Internet of Things and diversified functions of various sensors, it is reasonable to include various, complicated factors in the detection scope of danger. Most crimes are committed by the complex combination of temporal and spatial environmental factors related to crimes, conditions of victims, and activities of criminals. In order to detect dangerous situations effectively, it is necessary to contain temporal and spatial environmental factors, lives and activities of residents, and accesses and activities of criminals when scope of detecting dangerous situations is established. We demonstrated the validity of the proposed establishment of scope by analyzing the existing criminal events.
