As time goes by, the production of prototypes becomes more important. FDM method which is a type of Rapid Prototyping System is widely used. FDM is a production method that melts materials at a high temperature and stack up. Although it is a highly productive and effective method, finished products might have an error due to contractions. In this study, 5 samples were produced to reduce the errors. The samples were measured to check an average error by a 3D laser scanner and the average error was reversely used. Considering the margin of error, products would be produced larger to allow for contraction. As a result, the accuracy in each direction is improved as follows. The precision of horizontal direction(X axis) is improved from 99.1 % to 99.91% and In the vertical direction(Y axis), it is improved from 99.76% to 99.93.
