Piezoelectric Characteristics of Low Temperature Sintering PNN-PMN-PZT Ceramics according to the Zr/Ti Ratio

In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering piezoelectric actuator, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramic systems were fabricated using Li2CO3-Na2CO3 sintering aid and investigated with the variation of the ratio of Zr/Ti. The piezoelectric actuator is necessary to have high piezoelectric constant d33 and electromechanical coupling factor kp. At the MPB(Morphotropic Phase Boundary) of PZT system ceramics, excellent piezoelectric and dielectric properties are appeared. Therefore, in this study, searching of MPB composition ceramics and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. At the PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics of the ratio of Zr/Ti =50/50 sintered at 920℃, the density, electromechanical coupling factor kp, dielectric constant, piezoelectric constant d33 and mechanical quality factor Qm were showed optimal value of 7.78[g/cm2], 0.593, 1490, 388[pC/N] and 944, respectively.
