This paper the describes ground surface potential profiles near the object to be grounded. The hemisphere tank was used to simulate the scale model. As a result, the ground surface potential rises are significantly dependent with the soil structure, size and shape of the grounding electrodes. The highest ground potential rise appeared at the just above point of grounding electrodes. For the same grounding electrode, the ground surface potential rise is increased with the soil resistivity. The dangerous voltages around the ring-shaped grounding electrode is lower than thous around the ground rod at the same soil resistivity
