유동모드 내 전기유동유체의 실험적 특성 연구

Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Electro-Rheological Fluid Under Flow Mode

In this paper, the electric field according to the Bingham characteristics of electro-rheological fluids were investigated experimentally. In order to precede this research, a flow mode type electric viscometer is designed and manufactured. From the modeling of the electric viscometer, the equation of the pressure difference and yield shear stress of the ER fluid is derived. The experimental setup is similar to the ER damper featuring double-rod hydraulic cylinder. Ordinary steel electrode material used. In order to evaluate the Bingham characteristics of the ER fluid, four types of fluids, ERF-1, ERF-2 ERF-3 and ERF-4 are employed which made by our laboratory. Experiment was pERormed on the basis of the 23°C ambient temperature and Electric field, the electric field was supplied to the load as possible. From the experiment, it is obtained and evaluated the yield shear stresses and electric intensity and the response characteristics of the ER fluids depending on the electric field.
