A Study on the Life and Performance Degradation Characteristics for Tie Rod Type Pneumatic Cylinder

Tie rod type pneumatic cylinder, it is a product that is equipped with automated production equipment, and is responsible for products transferred and assembled, and widely used in the general industry. It is a component that high reliability is required since it is closely related to production failures and failure of the production line in case of failure of the pneumatic cylinder. However, the existing study on the pneumatic cylinder is staying the performance characteristics of pneumatic cylinder. This study would verify failure mode and failure mechanism by analyzing the failure mode of tie rod type pneumatic cylinder, and perform statistical analysis by test data achieved from the performance and life tests. Shape parameter and characteristic life of tie-rod type pneumatic cylinder would be ultimately found through this.
