In this paper, we performed the design of safety torque tool for high torque value required on the composite material structure. We surveyed the characteristic of composite materials and application case in aerospace industries. Also, we reviewed the assembly sequence of the composite skin assembly for tool design. The safety torque tool is designed in accordance with the drawing & process specification requirement of the Boeing company. The torque tools are designed by solid modelling of CATIA. As a result, the safety torque tools are composed base plate assembly, strap clamp assembly and handle assembly. Engineering requirement and tools designed for the hi-torque application process are introduced in this paper.
