Effects on the singleness or complex addition of the 3rd alloying elements was carried out to investigate the damping capacity of the Fe-5.5 w/o Al-X(Ni, Cu, Mn, Cr, Si and Ti)alloys. The damping capacities of Fe-5.5 w/o Al alloy containing a small amount of Ni, Cu, Mn, Cr, Si and Ti exhibits the characteristics of the representative ferromagnetic damping alloys whose damping feature are due to the magneto-mechanical static hysteresis effect. These singleness added elements were aggravate damping capacities, a decrease SDC max value is observed among these elements, more paticularly among singleness added Ni, 0.5w/o Si in the Fe-5.5 w/o Al parent alloy, the SDC max increased up to about 40% and show the excellent mechanical properties, which is large than that obtained from the Fe-5.5 w/o Al alloy. Moreover, relatively shows satisfactory results of SDC max according to magnetic properties, which are high-saturated magnetism and a wide-magnetic hysteresis loop due to the locking of magnetic domain walls, respectively.
