This study was focused on the fatigue crack growth test for the base metal and weld joint of biomaterial, carbon steel and stainless steel. As the result, the fatigue crack growth rate of weld joint on the stainless steel-stainless steel is faster than that of stainless base metal, and weld joint on the carbon steel-carbon steel heat affected zone is slower than that of carbon base metal. And the fatigue crack growth rate of carbon steel-stainless steel weld joint and heat affected zone is similar to the behavior of stainless base metal. Therfore, it was found that the weld joint of biomaterial is stable in the fatigue crack growth behavior.
