Effect of Thermo-Mechanical Treatment on Mechanical Properties of Stainless Steel

The present study was investigated the effect of thermo-mechanical heat treatment on isothermal transformation of duplex stainless steel. The precipitation of γ and σ phase by isothermal transformation showing the s curves with incubation period time, under the state of isothermal transformation, the precipitation of γ and σphase was stimulated by applied stress and working, the amount of precipitation increased, with increasing applied stress and working; By the addition of Mo, the precipitation of σ phase was stimulated and strengths was increased, in case of cold working, strength was showing the high value than warm working.
