This paper suggested a teaching method of giving shape to learners own creative ideas and applying for patent under their name. To this end, necessity for creative thinking and intellectual property education was studied. And a survey was conducted about the present condition of intellectual property education at domestic․ foreign universities and university intellectual property education that Korean Intellectual Property Office and Korean Invention Promotion Association pushed forward with. And the present condition of intellectual property course standard curriculum suggested by Korean Intellectual Property Office was grasped. Based on this, an issue was deduced, and a teaching method for improving this was suggested. Hence, this study suggested a teaching method than could improve communication skills and information utilization skills as well as acquiring knowledge of intellectual property by improving creative thinking through the process of students deriving an idea to be patented and students applying for patent in person.
