쓰기 과제의 주제 상세화에 따른 쓰기 능력과 쓰기 효능감 관계에 대한 교육적 함의

The Educational Implication of the Relationship between Writing Ability and Writing Self-Efficacy according to Subject Specification of Writing Assignment - Focusing on fifth grade students in elementary school

이 연구의 목적은 쓰기 과제의 주제 상세화가 글을 쓰는 학생에게 미치는 영향을 인지적 측면과 정의적 측면에서 살펴 쓰기 과제 설계를 위한 교육적 시사점을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 쓰기 과제의 주제를 주제의 범위와 쓸 내용 요소에 따라 4가지로 상세화하고 초등학교 5학년 학생 101명에게 쓰기 과제를 선택하게 한 후 쓰기 과제 선택에 따른 쓰기 능력과 쓰기 효능감의 관계를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 쓰기 과제의 주제는 그 내용과 영역에만 초점을 두기보다는 주제에 대해 살필 수 있는 학생들의 인식의 장면 등을 반영하여 다각적으로 접근하고 학생들이 선택할 수 있도록 제시할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 쓰기 과제 선택과 쓰기 능력의 관계를 통해, 주제의 범위와 쓸 내용 요소를 상세화할 때에는 특정 주제로 초점화하여 상세하게 제시하기보다는 쓸 내용을 풍부하게 생성할 수 있도록 주제의 범위를 열어줄 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 쓸 내용 요소와 관련해서는 학생의 인지적 부담을 고려하여 사고 방향을 안내하거나 초점화할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 쓰기 과제 선택과 쓰기 효능감의 관계를 통해 쓰기 효능감이 낮은 학생의 경우 쓰기 주제 범위를 특정하기보다는 학생들의 내용 생성가능성을 높이기 위해 일반화된 넓은 범위로 주제를 제시할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the implications of the subject refinement of the writing assignment on the student who writes in a cognitive and definitional perspective. For this purpose, the subject of the writing assignment was classified into 4 categories according to the scope of the topic and the content element to be used, and then the relationship between writing ability and writing self-efficacy was examined. As a result, the subject of the writing assignment needs to be presented in a multifaceted way, reflecting students’ perceptions of the subject, which can be studied on the subject. In addition, through the relationship between writing assignment selection and writing ability, it is necessary to open up the scope of the subject so that contents can be abundantly generated rather than focused on a specific subject. In relation to the content element to be written, it is necessary to guide or focus on the thinking direction considering the cognitive burden of the student. Finally, the relationship between writing assignments and writing self-efficacy suggests that students with low writing self-efficacy need to present a wide range of subjects in order to increase students’ possibility of generating contents.
