Failure Behavior of Austempered Fe-0.78wt.%C-2.46wt.%Si-Steel according to Tensile Speed

Austempering transformation behavior in Fe-0.78wt.%C-2.46wt.%Si-0.33wt.%Mn steel was investigared. Each specimens were austenitised for 30min at 900℃, and austempered at 380℃ for the same time 30 min. How does variation of tensile speed affect failure behavior of austempered high carbon high silicon steel. It was performed by optical metallography, X-ray diffraction and residual stress. Overall, each data have some deviation but it is similar. So, failure behavior of austempered high carbon high silicon steel is independent of tensile speed.
