Institutional Accreditation is a system to determine whether universities satisfy basic requirements as educational institutions and to assure university education s quality through the third party s external evaluation and strengthen universities responsibility with the expansion of institutions autonomy. The purpose of this study is to suggest the development guidelines for accreditation criteria related to university facility after institutional accreditation in 2013 based on the analysis of characteristics and changing cycle of the past institutional assessment and institutional accreditation. There were the phases of the times such as a trend of information technology in the first and second cycle of institutional assessment. The future institutional accreditation after 2013 will include the phases of times such as structural reform of university. The criteria for future institutional accreditation of higher education will be developed in the category of facility as follows; - upgrade of quantitative criteria for the phases of times. - effective and integrated facility management. - cross checking and evaluation among criteria, areas, and categories. - evaluating the effort to improve the results of self assessment
