A study on difference of recognition with Muslim and non-Muslim for public toilet s facility management in Malaysia -Focus on case of Kuala Lumpur-

In Malaysia, there are several ethnicity groups living together, including Malay, Chinese and Indian. And each groups have resulted Islam, Buddhism and Hindu to coexist. However, even though with variety of religious practices, Islam is the state religion of Malaysia and its influence is significant. So we can find many public facilities that non-Muslims are not taken in consideration in Malaysia, and public toilet is also involved in them. We were wondered about this discriminations with Muslim and non-Muslim. That s why we start this study, so this study researches and analyzes both Muslim s and non-Muslim s recognition, after that, it examines some problems about Malaysia s public toilet and provide satisfactory solutions for improving public toilets for both groups. As the toilet facilities and management is becoming important throughout the world, not only studying on Malaysia s public toilet more, but also taking in consideration of current Malaysian economic, cultural and religious situations, many improved public toilets are installed in Malaysia.
