The traditional Ondol heating system is heated by the used hot gas during cooking in kitchen. And hot water Ondol heating system is heated by the hot water heated by a boiler. But these two systems are not used in summer. This study develops a converged system of these two systems and analyzes an example of a radiant floor cooling system cooled by the circulation of a city water through a pipe embeded for a radiant floor heating of a room. Almost of all radiant floor heating or Ondol heating system in korea is used just in winter to heat the room. The temperature of city water is approximately 19∼23℃ which is variable to the outside temperature. We need to use the traditional radiant heating system to cool the room in summer too, to maximize a system efficiency. The thermal performance of the radiant floor cooling system is analyzed for summer period according to the DIN 4715-1. This study analyzes a thermal comfort characteristic, asymetric radiation and cooling load demand of a radiant floor cooling system cooled by the circulation of a city water through a pipe embeded for a radiant floor heating system of an existing room for summer period. An application of a radiant floor cooling system by the use of the city water could be very ecological.
