As children are vulnerable to poor indoor air quality, managing particles in daycare centers is a matter of grave concern. PM10 (particulate matters, d<10㎛) is generated from natural pollutants such as dusts due to wind, PM2.5(fine particles, d<2.5㎛) are the results of anthropogenic activities including combustion or vehicle exhaust, cooking. In this study, the concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 were measured in five daycare centers, Seoul. The purpose of the study is to understand the distributions characteristics of PM10, PM2.5 in daycare centers and compare with atmosphere environmental standard, indoor air quality guidelines. Concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 did not exceeded the standard of indoor air quality. The concentrations sampled for 6hours were higher than the concentrations sampled for 24hours. The results of this study showed that the difference of sampling time with 6hours and 24hours was significant in PM10. The difference of seasonal time was significant in PM10, PM2.5.
