Problem and Improvement for the Baggage Handling System of Domestic Airports

The purpose of this research is the improvements for the optimized baggage handling system in domestic airports responding to the consistently increasing demand for the air transportation in future. For research, selected three domestic airport cases and three foreign airport cases to analyze the operation of baggage handling system and the operational problems and to suggest improvement of the optimized baggage handling system in domestic airports responding to the changes of air transportation and demands of passenger’s various services. For this verification, 3D simulation solution applies for realizing optimal process and finishes the verification by comparing other existing systems. First, construct the common single check-in system for all airline allocating proper counters. Second, apply FIFO method on baggage handling system with system control such as window reservation method. Third, improve the conveyor structure for user’s working condition.
