A Study on Building Management System using GIS program

The current studies on Computer Aided Facility Management(CAFM) has been done to enhance FM by introducing computer technology. A review on those existing studies, however, reveals a number of limitations in their research; no concerns about lease management, no consideration on the potentiality of GIS programs in CAFM, and defection in integrating the CAFM system into the ERP. Thus, this study aims at proposing a building management system which is focused on the lease management through a GIS program, ArcView. In addition, the proposed system opens a way of integration with the ERP. A system model for the specific goals is proposed and then it is implemented to demonstrate its validity. This system is expected to help to control building facilities and has a desirable effect on managers decision for building management in the near future.
