This study was carried out to analyze the distribution of the preliminary examinations during the period from 1968 to 1979, according to the dual classification between curriculum and behavioval objectives, and questionaire properties. The results are as follows; 1) The most frequent questions were about the comprehension of the scientific knowledge as 49.4%, and most of which were mainly about the knowledge of specific facts. 2) The questions about the extention of the Scientific inquiry ability of the facts, phenomena and the interpretation ability of the experimental data were required to solve many of these questions. 3) The questions for test the cultivation of the scientific attitude of the examinees were 2.5%, which suggest ssuch questions are difficult to test under Korea’s test system. 4) Only one questions was about the mastery of the scientific techniques, which means to ignore the operation of the experimental apparatus, and cultivation techniques, which means to ignore the operation of the experimental apparatus, and cultivation techniques. 5) Among the distribution of the questions according to the units, Ⅲ. Nutrition of living things was higest as 14.6%. and the next was Ⅳ. Reaction and adjustment as 13.4%. Especially the hereditary phenomenon is most frequent among all the items. 6) Among the properties of the evaluation questions, that of the memory was highest as 54.9%, then came that of the thought and reasoning as 31.1%, the calculation as 11.6%, the experiment as 2.4% in that tern.
