벼 극조생 내도복 고품질 신품종 오대1호

A Very-Early Maturing and High Quality Rice Variety ‘Odae 1’

‘오대1호’는 1991년 하계에 조숙 안전 고품질 품종을 육성할 목적으로 고품질인 일품벼를 모본으로 초형이 좋고 조숙 내냉성 계통인 진부10호를 인공교배하여 계통육종법에 의해 숙기가 빠르고 내도복성이며 수량성이 높고 밥맛이 좋은 SR19018-19-2-2-2-1-1을 선발하여 2003년에 진부37호의 계통명을 부여하였다. 2003년~2005년 3년간 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 그 우수성이 인정되어 2005년 12월 직무육성 신품종 선정위원회에서 ‘오대1호’로 명명하였다. ‘오대1호’의 평균 출수기는 7월29일로 오대벼보다 4일 빠른 극조생 품종이다. 간장은 65 cm, 이삭길이는 18 cm, 포기당 이삭수는 13개로 오대벼와 비슷하다. 현미천립중은 21.5 g으로 중립종이다. ‘오대1호’는 도열병에는 저항성이지만, 흰잎마름병, 바이러스병 및 멸구류에 대한 저항성은 없다. 생리장해 저항성 검정에서 ‘오대1호’는 저온발아성과 유묘 내냉성이 중정도이고, 출수지연일수는 17일로 오대벼보다 짧았다. 생육후기에 위조현상이 없고, 성숙기 하엽 노화가 늦으며, 내수발아성은 중정도이다. ‘오대1호’의 쌀알은 단원립으로 심복백이 거의 없이 맑고 깨끗하다. 제현율과 현백률 및 도정률은 오대벼와 비슷하나 백미 완전립률은 오대벼보다 높아 도정특성이 양호하다. ‘오대1호’의 쌀수량은 중북부내륙중간지 5.31 MT/ha, 동북부해안지 5.22 MT/ha, 중북부고랭지 5.42 MT/ha였으며, 평균 쌀수량은 5.31 MT/ha로 오대벼보다 3% 증수하였다. ‘오대1호’는 중북부내륙중간지와 동북부해안지, 중북부고랭지의 보통기재배에 알맞은 극조생 내도복 고품질 품종이다.

‘Odae 1’ is a very-early maturing and high quality rice cultivar developed by the rice breeding team at the National Institute of Crop Science, R.D.A., Suweon, Korea in 2005. ‘Odae 1’ was derived from a cross between ‘Ilpumbyeo’ and ‘Jinbu 10’ in 1991 summer season. ‘Odae 1’ has heading date of July 29, height average 65 cm in culm length and resistance to lodging because its sturdy culm. ‘Odae 1’ is moderately resistant to rice blast diseases but susceptible to bacterial blight, virus diseases and most insect pest. Milled rice kernel of ‘Odae 1’ is clear in appearance, low in amylose content and excellent in palatability. Yield level of ‘Odae 1’ was an average milled rice of 5.31 MT/ha under the ordinary culture of the local adaptability test in the mid-northern inland plain region and east-northern coastal region, east-northern mountainous region. ‘Odae 1’ would be highly adaptable to the mid-northern inland plain region and east-northern coastal region, east-northern mountainous region of Korea.
