This study suggests limitations and new proposals of the curriculum of publishing media vocational education institutions in the transition period of the decrease of book reading volume and the appearance of e - book since 2000s. The curriculum of six institutions was analyzed based on NCS. As a result of analysis, each institution found problems and limitations such as the proportion of theory and practice, confusion with other media, lessons focusing on production technology, short training period, lack of analytical power. Therefore, it is necessary to reorganize the curriculum focusing on the effective curriculum. First, publish marketing and communication subjects should be added. Second, it is necessary to adjust appropriate theories and practice. Third, the detail majors should be separated. It is necessary to operate the deepening process. Fourth, it is necessary to activate vocational curriculum for highly educated students. Fifth, multi-publishers with a sense of presence should be trained.
