In this study, the characteristic of AM80-xSn(x: 1, 3, 5wt.%) Mg alloys with the reduction ratio during hot rolling are investigated. The samples of the alloy for hot rolling are obtained by the permanent mold casting under air-cooling conditions. And in order to investigate the characteristics of the samples after hot rolling, they are performed by optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results of this study show that the addition of Sn to the AM80 magnesium alloy improves the mechanical properties of the alloy by increasing the work hardening effect and dynamic recrystallization during hot deformation(hot rolling process).
