현대도예에 전개된 ‘무빙 오브제’ 매체 연구

A Study on the Media of ‘Moving Objet’ Displayed in the Contemporary Ceramics

현대도예에서 1990년대부터 출현했던 다양화 시대는 매체와 재료의 사용에서 종전과는 달리 장르와 경계의 해체, 재구성을 가져왔다. 결국에는 이질적인 기능이나 요소를 결합하여 새로운 유형을 만들어내는 혼성교배로도 나타났는데, 그 유형 중 하나가 무빙 오브제이다. 따라서 본 연구는 ‘무빙 오브제’ 개념과 특성을 프랭크 포퍼와 조지 릭키의 주장을 토대로 고찰 하였다. 그리고 더 나아가 그와 관련된 현대도예의 현상들을 시각적 ‘무빙 오브제’, 매체 결합적 ‘무빙 오브제’, 참여적 ‘무빙 오브제’라는 세 가지 유형으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 현대도예에서 이러한 ‘무빙 오브제’ 유형은 현대인들의 선호도가 증가함에 따라 새로운 경향이나 장르로 정착될 뿐만 아니라 발전 가능성도 감지되기 때문에 이에 대한 더 많은 연구가 있기를 기대한다.

In the contemporary ceramics, the era of variety that began to emerge from the 1990s introduced a deconstruction or recomposition of genre and boundary, which was a phenomenon different from those of the past in the usage of medium and material. It was finally appeared as a kind of hybridization to make a new type by combining with different function or element, one of which is moving objet. Thus, in this study, I studied the concept and characteristic of moving objet according to the theories by Frank Popper and George Rickie. And furthermore, I divided and analyzed the phenomenon of the contemporary ceramics into three types, namely, Visual Moving Objet,Medium-combining Moving Objet, Participatory Moving Objet. Types of moving objet likewise in the contemporary ceramics is recognized to be settled down or developed into a new trend or genre as the degree of modern people’s preference increases, for which I anticipate more study in the future.
