아동의 창의적 가정환경에 관한 고찰

A study on Creative Home Environment

본 연구에서는 아동이 지각하는 창의적 가정환경에 관한 고찰을 통해 창의적 가정환경에 대한 개념적 틀을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 창의성 및 가정환경에 관한 이론과 선행 연구들을 토대로 창의적 가정환경의 특성을 정리하였고, 창의성 발달을 촉진하는 환경과 저해하는 환경에 대한 암묵적 지식을 조사하였다. 서울의 초등학교 5, 6학년 아동 73명과 부모 35명이 질문조사에 답하였고, 아동 5명과 부모 5명이 인터뷰에 참여하였다. 개방형 질문지의 응답은 연구자가 유사한 응답끼리 범주로 묶은 뒤 해당 범주의 응답 빈도를 산출하여 분석하였다. 창의성 및 가정환경에 관한 이론 및 선행 연구결과들과 창의적 가정환경에 대한 암묵적 지식 조사 결과를 종합하여 본 연구에서는 창의적 가정환경을 창의적 활동공간 및 시간, 창의적 활동도구, 창의적 롤 모델, 다양한 경험, 존중 및 수용, 다양한 사고 격려, 과도한 억압 부재의 일곱 가지 하위요인으로 구성된 개념이라고 정리하였다. 본 연구는 창의적 가정환경의 개념에 대한 이해를 돕고, 창의성 신장을 위한 가정환경 조성의 중요성과 방법에 대해 알려주며, 향후 창의적 가정환경 관련 연구의 기초자료로도 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study was to suggest a conceptual framework for creative home environment that integrates perspectives from published literature of creativity and home environments and implicit theories of creative home environment. The subjects of this study were 78 children and 40 parents living Seoul. Seventy three children and thirty five parents responded to open-ended questionnaires and five children and five parents participated in interview. Based on a comprehensive literature review about creativity, home environments and creative environments and a survey on implicit theories on the creative home environment, it was proposed that creative home environment would conceptualized with the following general areas: space and time for creative performance, creative activity tools, creative role model, variety of experience, respect and acceptance, encouragement and absence of excessive pressure. This study can contribute to a more detailed understanding of children’s perceptions of creative home environment and serve as a starting point for the creative home environment research.
