Previous studies on peer reviews in translation educations have noted discrepancies between learners’ expectations and the contents of teachers’ feedbacks, thereby highlighting the importance of peer reviews and the need to incorporate them in class (e.g. Kim, 2009). Against this backdrop, this article aims to identify what Korean and foreign students in second-tier postgraduate programs suggest in their peer reviews of Korean-into-English translations of The Vegetarian , in an attempt to explore and suggest the educational implications in this ever rapidly changing educational ethnography in South Korea. It identifies the frequent correction about grammar and language use and some erroneous suggestions in the peer reviews, which confirmed the need to incorporate various evaluation models in class and offer effective, tailor-made language courses including a mother language course.
