동아시아 로컬 무크의 현황과 과제 -JMOOC와 K-MOOC의 비교-

A Study on the Current Situation and Problems of Local MOOCs in East Asia: Comparison of JMOOC and K-MOOC

최근 교육 분야에서 오픈 에듀케이션이 주목을 받으며 무크(MOOC: Massive Open Online Course)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 동아시아 지역의 대표적인 로컬 무크인 일본의 JMOOC와 한국의 K-MOOC를 비교 분석했다. 구체적으로는 ①배경과 취지, ②제공하는 강좌의 특징, ③수강자의 특징을 중심으로 비교했다. 이어서, 한국과 일본의 연구문헌 데이터베이스에서 MOOC를 키워드로 검색하여 해당 논문을 정리한 후, 이들 논문에 대한 메타분석을 실시했다. 메타분석에서는 ①현재의 동향과 앞으로의 전망, ②MOOC의 수요 분석과 평가, ③MOOC의 설계, ④MOOC의 개 발과 실시에 관한 연구 성과에 대해 고찰했다. 마지막으로 결론에서는 로컬 무크의 코스 분석과 연구 논문의 메타분석 결과를 바탕으로 (1)한국형 무크 운영을 위한 전략과 (2)무크를 활용한 외국어 교육의 가능성에 대해 제언했다.

Recently, Open Education has been brought into light within the education field of study, bringing many to draw their attention to MOOC(Massive Open Online Course). This study has conducted a comparative analysis on the most representative Local MOOC of the Eastern Asia region: Japan’s JMOOC, and Korea’s K-MOOC. The comparison was done looking at the following three factors in detail: (1)Background and purpose, (2)Features of provided courses, (3)Features of enrolled students. Also, meta-analysis was performed on studies that were done and/or related to MOOC within databases of the Korean and Japanese academic articles. The meta-analysis takes a look at: (1)Current trends and future prospects, (2)Demand analysis and evaluation on MOOC, (3)Design layout of the MOOC, (4)Development and study results of its implementation. Lastly, based on the course analysis of local MOOC and the results of meta-analysis on the studies, the conclusion proposes (1)Strategies for Korean styled MOOC and (2)Potential for foreign language education using MOOC.
